Abstract Submission
Abstract Submission System
For technical support or questions during submission, please contact us at lila@serenas.com.tr.
The Mediterranean Cardiovascular Conference (MECC) Organizing Committee invites all physicians, perfusionists, and nurses to submit their abstracts to the conference. All abstracts will only be accepted online through the conference websites (www.tkdcd2024.org and www.mecconference.org). Abstracts that do not comply with the submission guidelines will not be evaluated. (Detailed information can be found below.)
You can submit your abstracts online at www.tkdcd2024.org and www.mecconference.org. Abstracts sent by email, fax, or other methods will not be accepted.
You can enter your abstract into the system step by step using the online abstract submission system. To enter your abstract into the system, you must first register by creating a username and password using your email address and then log in to the system. During submission, the author must also enter the email address of the relevant institution's department head or training supervisor in the designated section, in addition to their own email address.
The preferred presentation type (oral or poster) must be specified. Case reports can only be submitted as posters. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Abstract Writing Guidelines
• The abstract title must be written in uppercase letters and should not end with a period.
• Only the names of the researchers (without academic titles, e.g., Dr., Assoc. Prof., etc.) should be written, their institutions should be specified, and the name of the presenting researcher should be underlined.
• The abstract should be written without paragraph spacing, single-spaced, and left-aligned.
• The abstract should be structured using the subheadings "Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion."
• No editorial corrections will be made before publication. Therefore, the accuracy of the scientific content, and the absence of spelling and grammatical errors are the responsibility of the authors.
• Uncertain statements such as "Results will be presented at the meeting" should not be used in the abstract.
• The total character count of the abstract (excluding references, table and figure captions) should not exceed 2000 characters.
• No more than 2 tables or figures should be used in the abstract.
• All submitted abstracts must be reviewed and the "Finalize" process must be completed. Otherwise, your abstract will appear as incomplete in the system.
• After finalizing your submission, please save the reference number assigned to your abstract by the system and the password you used to log in to the system.
Abstract Submission Conditions
• The deadline for abstract submission is September 13, 2024, at 8:00 PM. Abstracts submitted after this date will not be accepted.
• Submitted abstracts will be evaluated anonymously by the Abstract Review Committee and scored out of 100. Based on this evaluation, abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentations.
• An individual can be listed as an author on a maximum of 8 accepted abstracts. If more than 8 abstracts from the same individual are accepted, the highest-scoring 8 abstracts will be accepted. Please consider this when submitting abstracts with author names.
• All correspondence related to the abstracts entered into the system will be conducted with the person who submitted the abstract.
• For the accepted abstract to be presented at the conference, the presenting author must be registered for the conference.
• Accepted abstracts cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.
• For abstracts accepted as e-posters, the e-posters must be uploaded to the e-poster system before the conference, following the notification email sent to the authors. E-posters can be uploaded in the desired format with the desired images.
• All accepted abstracts will be added to the website, CD/flash drive, and mobile application programs as PDF files with a watermark stating "This is not a proceedings booklet." These platforms will not constitute an official proceedings book. After the conference presentations are completed, abstracts of those who did not present will be removed, and the abstract book will be published post-conference.
• If oral presentations are not presented on the scheduled dates or accepted e-posters are not uploaded to the system before the conference, feedback will be provided to the institutions of the abstract authors.
